I had the exact same thought despite how incredible P4 is. Stickler for diction is all. It's definitely one of the top JRPGs on PS2. Hell, I recommend it over most next gen titles.

Of course everyone will incorrectly take that to mean I'm hating on the game because I hesitate to call it a 'classic'. Despite my praise. :/

Wow, surprising and a good coup for the hardcores on Wii.

I assumed this wouldn't cross borders since few (besides fans) would know who Tatsunoko are and the characters associated with them. But good on them for pushing it through.

"Do you see these sort of crazy rumors for Mass Effect 2? Nope. What about Left 4 Dead? Nope. What about Gears of War, Star Ocean 4, or Last Remnant?

Frankly, yes. All the time. And in the exact same manner too. That's basically the biggest issue console loyalists argue over: exclusives jumping ship.

I can't be the only one who recalls all those "ME2 on PS3: confirmed" articles. Or the constant insistence that ______ game should come to or "would ...

Seems pretty dry. Hopefully it's the quiet before the storm. I'm sure after E3 we'll all be relieved when MS announces a few games.

At least I assume so if they want to, y'know, continue making money.

"Screw you all, I will take 60 frames constant, better graphics, less network lag, mouse+keyboard, and custom content over playing with ANY of you."

Rofl. What a douche.

...yeah, me too. -_-

Am I the only one who saw the sarcastic nature of Soda's comment? I thought j/k meant 'just kidding'.

I'm with evrfighter on this one. I'm not at all hurting for GFW games. MS has supported it well enough, but GFWL still isn't that big of a deal to me. I'm very satisfied with the large number of upcoming releases that aren't GFW. The names aren't in lights compared to console gaming, but quality titles nonetheless.

It sounds a bit sad that they have absolutely nothing to contribute on that front for E3, but hardly going to wreck my mood.

A combination of both is definitely the best. And if you're presented with the option to skip a cutscene, let's have a confirmation or something. Too many times has this unfortunate string of events played out:

Game: *cutscene*
Me: Great. Now I'll just put the controller down and... *click* Oops.
Game: Now remember what I said in the cutscene, player! It's the only way to beat the boss!^^
ME: Oh, you motherf--

As much as I like ME, I still want a proper KOTOR 3 as well. ME can't replace that. It's just not SW (and I'm sure it's not trying to be). Although, I'm not sure I could pick one over the other. Better to have both. :D

But who knows if Bioware will ever make one. I remember at some point reading Muzyka's musings about Bioware moving away from licensed material, specifically SW. Then they turn around and make a SW MMO so...wtf? Kooky.

Not my thing, but it looks well done.

This is exactly why I usually grab the PC version over the console. *snooty laugh*

I wonder what it will take for consoles to embrace user created content?

I can totally understand when people call it a failure. The OS is solid enough, but you had to cut through an awful lot of BS during launch. Bad drivers, no drivers, lengthy file indexing times, generally slower operation, UAC, etc... And Aero, which I think was just a bad idea. They shouldn't have advertised a UI that most PCs can't run acceptably out of the box as the signature look for Vista. And don't confuse your buyers with a bunch of different versions. It seems like all of that ended ...

Yeah, it's nice to hear they're trying to address the few drawbacks. Although even with the tech difficulties, it's probably my favourite new IP of this gen. I'd love to see a new Jade Empire too.

@kevnb & jetlian

You're both refuting points I didn't make. I didn't say MGS was the first. I said it had the most impact. That is obviously not the same thing. MG and MG2 on Nintendo didn't have the same impact at all.

jet, I wasn't implying that MGS came first. "Tenchu" does not refer to Tenchu: Stealth Assassins, but the entire franchise. As I've already said, MGS created a climate for games like that to succeed. Like Halo did for console FPS and FFV...

@jetlian

Not really. My point isn't which came first, but which had the greater impact. When you look back, Tenchu and MGS were both good games. But MGS obviously had the greater impact on gaming of the two. Almost single-handedly the game created a favourable genre for stealth-based games for years to come.

This is of course only one example of why MGS trumped Tenchu and most other games available at the time. Compared to the average game, MGS just had more. Better...

It's old, but realise NXE wasn't out in 2007.

But yeah, if this were somehow hyped as a huge announcement, it would be laughable.

I was about to make some snarky comment about Crackdown being an old game and all, but the theme actually looks pretty sweet.

@thebudgetgamer: What happened to XBLA or WiiWare or Steam?

But I do agree. One of the best ways to go is with service dependent features like achievements and multiplayer like L4D. I mean you could crack the core game, but you still wouldn't get the whole experience.

My only concern is that devs don't abuse that by like making a game REQUIRE online connectivity just to start.
